This morning, we had some overflow at the big house in the church in Philadelphia. It was so sweet and emotional to hear everyone’s reflections and joys from the past week of the trip. After our final, delicious lunch of the spring break trip—which included hoagies and Italian ice—we were ready to depart the East Coast and drove to Newark Liberty International Airport. Following a six-hour flight, we were back in SFO. On the drive from the airport to the Berkeley meeting hall, we made a late-night stop at Jack in the Box.

Looking back, I remember how unsure I was about going on this trip when registration was still open, but now I have zero regrets. It was so encouraging to blend with the saints on the East Coast, and I felt like I was able to grow much closer to many members of Christians on Campus. It felt like one big family, enjoying Christ together with my spiritual companions. I believe the Lord poured out His love for me in a special way during this trip.

One of my favorite moments was learning a new hymn. Its chorus stayed with me throughout the trip:

“Lord, we see You! Lord, we love You! Lord, we submit everything to You. Each day, Your ruling and Your reigning Brings a sweet supply. Oh, what a rich blessing! We’re in the hand of our King. Everything You hope to accomplish, do in me.”

— Luke K.

The last day of our Spring Break trip started with a teary-eyed sharing time - everyone reflecting on how much we enjoyed the Lord and the trip. There were laughs, overflow, and yes, almost everyone cried while soaking in the sweetness of God’s sovereign arrangement operating in everyone’s beings. I even shed a singular tear. Praise the Lord that God has brought us all together to be corporately blended as one Body for the building up of the church on the East Coast!

Lunch time rolled around, then came the hoagies. Eight of them. Gone in minutes. We blended with the Philly saints for lunch and wrapped it up with some good water ice and donuts that just continued to add to my weight gain this Spring Break trip.

Snapped some last-minute pics with my small group - cue the smiles and swaggy group poses - then loaded up the van. Within minutes, everyone was knocked out.

My group was first to the airport. We checked in, grabbed some food (again), looked for a gift to get for Sampson because of all the hard work he’s done during this trip, and settled in by playing some New York Connections with the brothers.

Landed at SFO. After some serious consideration with a heavy heart, I decided to not get In-N-Out because my sleepiness got the better of me. I went straight home and knocked out.

That was the best college Spring Break Trip I’ve ever been on!
