Hey guys, with the pleasure of posting the conclusion of the 2017 CoC Spring Break Trip, I’d like to give an immense thank you to the church in Seattle. They have taken care of us Berkeley people so well over the week. A personal highlight of the trip was the blending times with all the believers. I really felt at home with all the members of the Body. I really saw how much God loves his Body; when all the members are put together, there was nothing but care and love. Seeing how others love the Lord really encouraged me to keep pursuing Christ. The church life in Berkeley is wonderful, but seeing other campuses also pursuing the Lord with the same passions is beyond wonderful. A whole week of not worrying about school work and pure fun with the the club was definitely a 10 out of 10. It was such a nice refreshing break from the semester.
Today was our last day in Seattle and I was a bit sad to be leaving (even though the weather was pretty meh for most of the week). We started the day off with helping the Church in Seattle with their weekly hall maintenance. Now this might not sound like fun, but it was so enjoyable to just be spending time with fellow members of the Body of Christ! I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun cleaning a bathroom!
We spent the majority of our day in UVillage and even got to play some ultimate frisbee with some of the students from UW! It was awesome to spend time with other college students and see the oneness in Christ.
Some of us took a later flight, so we got to spend a little more time in Seattle. My mom took us out to eat dinner before dropping us off at the airport, and I was so encouraged when she said that she was so happy we came to Seattle to blend with everyone. I’m sure it was enjoyable for everyone else too.
